The U.S. military said a suicide car bomb attack on a heavily guarded road between the German Embassy and a U.S. military base in Kabul today killed two U.S. service members and wounded 12.
Afghan officials say two Afghans were killed and 23 hurt.
The Taliban claimed responsibility and said the bomber targeted German military personnel. The German Embassy shares a small, two-lane road with a U.S. base.
