Police on Thursday identified the teenager shot in a suspected gang-related attack as Frederick Ruiz, 18, of Santa Ana.
Ruiz was found Wednesday afternoon shot in the head and torso in the courtyard of an apartment complex in the 3000 block of South Sycamore Street and declared dead at the scene.
Police have no suspects.
