Re “Franken win alters power equation,” July 1

Al Franken is now senator-elect Al Franken, which tips the power in the Senate to the Democrats. Franken may be a political hero in his own mind; I think he is a rancorous partisan. But like the power of overwhelming government being wrought upon the country, the joke will be on those who will undoubtedly suffer from it -- most of us.

Minnesota’s Supreme Court essentially ruled that disputed absentee ballots needn’t be counted.

Now Republicans can emulate the Democrats and spend the next 10 years wailing that Franken stole the election. Fair is fair.

Interesting that people are troubled by Franken’s background as a comic, which takes intelligence and mental agility, but have no problem with the backgrounds of some other representatives.

Your article glosses over the details of the numerous recounts of the Minnesota election. I am so concerned about possible voter fraud in Iran’s latest election. The people of Minnesota should be alarmed about voter fraud in their state, and the people of the United States should be concerned because, as a senator, Franken will impact so many policies.
