Thinking about cruising this fall or winter? If you want to get your feet wet with a short excursion to Baja, Mexico, now’s a good time to secure an advanced-booker’s discount. Some of Carnival’s “Early Saver” rates for its three- to five-day Mexico excursions from Long Beach and San Diego are incredible deals.
The deal: Three-day cruises departing from Long Beach on Fridays go to Ensenada. Early Saver rates begin at $229 per person on the Dec. 4 and Dec. 11 sailings. Four-day cruises departing Mondays stop at Catalina Island and Ensenada. Early-bird prices for this one start at $154 per person, available for Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 departures. Rates for early October trips begin at $219. Three-day round-trip cruises departing from San Diego can be had for as low as $139. Various itineraries are available, some midweek and others weekend, some from Long Beach and others from San Diego.
