Chase takes hard line on credit

Re: David Lazarus’ consumer column “Chase cardholders call hike a raw deal,” July 1:
I have an excellent payment history of paying more than the minimum and on time each month. All card issuers agreed to lower my rate except Chase.
Now I’m using my good credit to take out a loan to pay them their balance and never do business with them again.
