Five teenagers in a North Long Beach neighborhood were shot when one or more gunmen opened fired on them, a Long Beach police spokeswoman said.
The shooting was reported about 9:15 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of Plymouth Street, said Sgt. Dina Zapalski. None of the teenagers’ wounds appeared to be life-threatening.
The one girl and four boys, ages 14 to 16, were standing outside when they were approached and the shooting began. Zapalski said investigators believe that there were as many as three shooters and that the attack was gang-related.
