Two American troops died in Iraq, including a soldier who was killed in a grenade attack north of Baghdad, the U.S. military reported.
The soldier died of injuries sustained in an attack on a patrol in Diyala province, the military said. Separately, a Marine died as the result of a non-combat-related incident, the military said in a brief statement that provided no details.
The deaths raised to at least 4,311 the number of U.S. military personnel who have died in Iraq since the U.S.-led war started in March 2003.
