The state Supreme Court is to consider today a request to postpone a preliminary hearing for Chris Brown, the R&B; singer accused of assaulting and threatening pop star Rihanna.
Brown has asked the high court to delay the proceeding in order to rule on the issue of whether the defense should have access to internal police records.
Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, contends that the files could be used to cross-examine police officers at the hearing about the leak of a picture showing Rihanna’s bloodied, bruised face.
