Update: Forward Kevin Westgarth was recalled from Manchester of the American Hockey League. In 55 games with the Monarchs he had eight points and a team-high 146 penalty minutes, so it’s safe to assume he’s not being summoned for his finesse. The Kings are coming off a 5-4 overtime victory over Dallas on Thursday in which Michal Handzus recorded his second career hat trick. Winger Alexander Frolov had a goal and two assists. So did Anze Kopitar, his fifth three-point game this season. The Kings will try to sweep a season series from the Wild for the first time in the Wild’s eight NHL seasons. Minnesota, 3-5-2 in its last 10 games, is among the teams fighting for the last few playoff spots in the Western Conference.
