at Tennessee 63, Western Kentucky 7: Jonathan Crompton threw five touchdown passes, leading the Volunteers to their largest margin of victory in nine years in Lane Kiffin’s coaching debut.
at Arkansas 48, Missouri State 10: Dennis Johnson returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, and the Razorbacks set a school record with 447 yards passing.
at Auburn 37, Louisiana Tech 13: Chris Todd and Terrell Zachery hooked up on a school-record 93-yard touchdown pass in Gene Chizik’s debut as head coach.
at Vanderbilt 45, Western Carolina 0: Warren Norman ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Commodores.
at Mississippi State 45, Jackson State 7: Chris Relf threw three touchdowns and ran for another in Dan Mullen’s coaching debut.
Kentucky 42, Miami (Ohio) 0: Mike Hartline threw two touchdown passes -- one to former quarterback rival Randall Cobb -- to lead the Wildcats at Cincinnati.
