Investigators with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of knowingly transmitting the AIDS virus to several women, officials said Thursday.
Two women allege that they were infected by Dennis “Dog” Rios of Apple Valley, whom deputies have identified as a gang member who was diagnosed with AIDS a decade ago. Detectives said they are looking for other victims.
Rios was booked at the Victor Valley jail, said Arden Wiltshire, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Department. Deputies discovered Rios’ alleged actions while they were questioning him Wednesday after receiving a tip that drugs were being sold from a home in the 12000 block of Navajo Road.
