Oscar-winning rapper Juicy J has sold his Sherman Oaks house for $1.82 million, the Multiple Listing Service shows.
The Tuscan-style home, built in 1955 but entirely remodeled, has a two-story entry; a family room with a wet bar and stone fireplace; a kitchen with stainless-steel appliances and island; a master bedroom suite with a balcony and sitting area; a master bathroom with a fireplace, spa tub and steam shower; and maid’s quarters. With six bedrooms and six bathrooms, the home is 5,849 square feet. Outdoor space includes a pool with spa and an open air kitchen.
The record producer and co-founder of the hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia won an Academy Award with DJ Paul and Crunchy Black in 2006 for the original song “It’s Hard Out There for a Pimp.” It was featured in the 2005 film “Hustle & Flow,” in which Juicy J also had an acting part. More recently he has written music for “WWE SmackDown vs. Raw” videogames (2007-09) and the TV show “Numb3rs” (2008).
Juicy J, 35, purchased the canyon-view house in 2007 for $2 million, according to public records, and had a buyer within two weeks of listing it.
Caitlin Silver of Prudential California Realty, Sherman Oaks, had the listing. Therese Hyde of Coldwell Banker, Studio City, represented the buyer.
