Get Wet and Wild

Water may be scarce in the desert, but Las Vegas’ arid environs won’t stop the city from playing extreme with water. Since Memorial Day weekend, Wet ’n’ Wild — the only water theme park in Sin City to date — has opened its doors to anyone wanting to escape the Vegas heat.
Keeping up with the city’s thirst for wild adventures, Wet ’n’ Wild is determined to win over frolickers of all ages craving Vegas-style fun. Although it provides some tame spaces for more restrained guests, it highlights a couple of extreme attractions ideal for adrenaline addicts, leading thrill seekers to a variety of splashing twists and turns.
The Rattler, the first slide of its kind in North America, speeds guests down an epic descent of more than 360 feet. Desert Racers takes guests head first onto a six-lane 360-foot downhill water speedway. The 10,500-square-foot Paradise Falls is a multilevel interactive playground with a giant tipping bucket that drips 300 gallons of water onto the eagerly waiting patrons below. The Royal Flush works as an exhilarating “toilet bowl” ride. The Hoover Half Pipe brings that river-rapids experience for those willing who enjoy being tossed around. The Constrictor boasts a ride full of very tight corkscrew turns, allowing people to snake back and forth at the speed of 18 miles per hour.
