Jimmy Kimmel of late-night television has listed his home in Hollywood Hills at $2.299 million.
Built in 1947, the updated house sits on a knoll with city and mountain views that take in the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign. A path to the front door crosses a fountain.
Vintage Hollywood Regency-style details remain in the home’s floor-to-ceiling leaded glass bay window and oval leaded glass windows, but the interiors have a fresh vibe.
One of the five bedrooms in the 3,605-square-foot home has been converted to a sound studio with a recording booth. There are formal dining and living rooms, a bar and five bathrooms.
In addition to the updated kitchen indoors, an outside kitchen includes a barbecue, a smoker, a pizza oven and a beer keg dispenser. A swimming pool with a spa, decks and mature trees complete the grounds.
Kimmel, 46, created and has hosted “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” since 2003. The actor-comedian is also a television producer.
He bought the house in 2002 for $925,000, public records show, and had been leasing it out in recent years.
Karen Misraje of Partners Trust is the listing agent.
