Thomas Tull sells executive estate in Calabasas

Thomas Tull, chairman and chief executive of Legendary Entertainment, has sold his castle-like estate in Calabasas for $9.5 million.

Features of the French country-style mansion include a two-story library, a screening room/theater, a children’s theater, two kitchens, two offices, a game room, a music room, a temperature-controlled wine cellar and tasting room, a gym, a sauna, video surveillance, five bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and three powder rooms.

The master suite features two fireplaces, sitting and dressing rooms and dual bathrooms and walk-in closets.

Set at the end of a cul-de-sac in a gated community, the nearly 1 acre property contains the 14,218-square-foot main house, a self-contained one-bedroom guesthouse, a swimming pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen and expansive lawns. There’s a four-car garage and a circular driveway.

Tull’s producer and executive producer credits include this year’s “Godzilla,” “Man of Steel” (2013), the “Dark Knight” movies, the “Hangover” movies and “Inception” (2010). He is part owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The film executive had the house built in 2006 after buying the site the year before for $2.27 million, public records show.
