Dustin Hoffman: Career in pictures

Showing he could easily switch from drama to comedy, the "Kramer vs. Kramer" dad uttered an expletive he claims Bette Midler yelled to him as she raced to the stage to collect her award during his speech. But before he hit the podium for his speech, he acknowledged Justin Henry, the 8-year-old actor who played Hoffman's son in the film and had lost the awards for supporting actor and new male star of the year. Hoffman called awards shows "silly" and said, "They hurt the ones that lose and I think they relieve us that win." Henry and Hoffman at the Golden Globes in 1980.
