Miley Cyrus was not the only young artist to create media fodder at the VMAs. The cameras caught Swift mouthing the F-word (“shut the ... up”) as her former flame, Harry Styles of One Direction, presented an award with his bandmates onstage. Though a camera inadvertently made her barb public, it seems like the singer had those intentions all along. “I also want to thank the person who inspired this song, who knows exactly who he is,” she said when accepting her award for “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “because now I got one of these. The former Clippers player was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, allegedly snaking back and forth on the 101 Freeway and failing field sobriety tests. Fox recently aired an episode of “MasterChef” featuring Deen that was taped months before damaging news that she’d used racial slurs in the past became widespread. Prior to the episode’s debut, the discrimination lawsuit filed against the celebrity chef was dismissed. The 74-year-old actress had good news to announce on the “Today” show: Despite being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, as of June, she was close to remission. Harper said that in January she was given three to six months to live, a prediction she battled with chemotherapy, acupuncture and positivity.
