Hollywood headlines: A week in review
Remember what Justin Bieber looked like flailing away last week as he tried to fight a bothersome paparazzo in London? Imagine that done in words on Instagram, and you have what the Biebs did Thursday morning.
The pop star — who recently had a bumpy, headline-fueling trip to London — posted what started as a rant protesting the “countless lies in the press right now” and defending himself specifically against claims that he’s headed to rehab and that his grandparents were disappointed with him.
And then he said a bunch of nice stuff about himself.

Justin Bieber goes on a rant, Miranda Kerr recovers from a car accident and Amanda Bynes gets a makeover in this week’s Hollywood headlines.
Miranda Kerr’s car crash had the Victoria’s Secret angel sporting a neck brace earlier this week, but the model said Thursday that she is healing.
“Thank you all for your love and support. I am on the mend!” she tweeted in tandem with a pink photo with “love” written in black script.
Orlando Bloom’s wife and her assistant were involved in a car accident Monday on an L.A. freeway when another motorist rear-ended her vehicle. The motorist is said to have been arrested and could be charged with reckless driving.

Justin Timberlake loves Kanye West —he swears! Timberlake’s recent “SNL” appearance featured an encore performance of his current hit “Suit & Tie” with a lyric change that appeared to answer Kanye West’s recent diss of his duet with Jay-Z.
“My hit’s so sick, got rappers acting dramatic,” Timberlake sang, an apparent comeback to West’s comment about the song last month during a show in London, at which he told the audience, “I got love for Hova, but I ain’t [expletive] with that ‘Suit & Tie.’”
Timberlake denied the diss to Jimmy Fallon, saying, “For the record, I absolutely love Kanye.” Also on Fallon’s show, the singer busted out a barbershop-quartet version of his old hit “Sexy Back.” Take it to the chorus.

Ed Asner was hospitalized for exhaustion Tuesday night in Gary, Ind., after struggling with disorientation during his one-man show, “FDR,” which has been touring for 3½ years.
The show started 45 minutes late, according to news reports, and 83-year-old Asner struggled with lines from the beginning. He was walked off stage by emergency medical personnel about 15 minutes into the performance.
But what a difference a day makes. “Reports of my imminent demise are greatly exaggerated,” he tweeted Wednesday. “They tell me I am suffering from exhaustion. Thanks for the good wishes!”

Whether Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have split up has been the topic of much rumor for the last week or so — with the talk hitting a fever pitch Wednesday morning as a report citing “multiple sources” pronounced, “It’s over.” But hours later, another outlet said not so fast. Wednesday afternoon, E! News joined the fray with a hold-on-a-minute report declaring that the two “have been a bit rocky, but are not giving up.”
The couple have been engaged since May 31 of last year, after dating for about three years. Although last week’s stories were quick to cite Liam’s alleged cozy conduct with actress January Jones at a pre-Oscars bash last month as causing a rift in the relationship, the New York Post’s Page Six on Wednesday quoted a source suggesting that Miley’s wild night life was to blame.

Michael Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, are “thrilled” to be having a baby boy.
“We are so excited. We have just come from the hospital, and the sonogram was pretty clear — it’s a boy!” the singer told Page Six.
The couple found out their child’s gender the same day the Catholic Church elected its new patriarch, Pope Francis from Lopilato’s native Argentina.
