Kelly Clarkson announced her second baby's gender on Friday via social media — and it's going to be a boy!
"In other news, River's gonna have a little baby brother :) #itsaboy We're so excited!" the singer said on Instagram, posting a picture of her 16-month-old daughter with her husband, Brandon Blackstock.
Clarkson, 33, announced her second pregnancy unexpectedly in August during a concert at Staples Center in downtown L.A., blurting out, "I was not planning on announcing this, but ... I'm totally pregnant!"
The "My Life Would Suck Without You" singer popped up in the headlines earlier this week, too, when U.K. "X Factor" winner Ben Haenow released his music video for "Second Hand Heart," on which they duet.
In August, Clarkson had to cancel her "Piece by Piece" concert dates in Britain and Canada, not because of her pregnancy, but rather because her doctor ordered her to stay on vocal rest through the end of the year.
"I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates," the original "American Idol" winner said in a statement on her website. "I was so looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the UK."
