Robert Pattinson on ‘the greatest vampire sex you’ve ever had’

In “The Twilight Saga,” Robert Pattinson is required to move at superhuman speed, feast on woodland creatures and rip the limbs off fellow vampires. But the biggest challenge were his love scenes.
Promoting the final film in the blockbuster franchise, Pattinson hit Australia for a photo call (the country’s southern region is also a location for his next project “The Rover”) and stopped by a local chat show to talk on-screen lovin’ with co-star Kristen Stewart.
“The sex scene in this one is pretty ridiculous,” he said on the Kyle and Jackie O Show. “It’s just because you’re kind of shooting stuff to be PG-13 ... it’s just trying to think of inventive ways to make something sexy.”
To decode for non-fans [spoiler alert]: Stewart’s Bella Swan became a vampire at the close of “Breaking Dawn -- Part 1” and, as dictated by Stephenie Meyer’s novels, gets to indulge in some seriously intense physicality with Pattinson’s Edward Cullen.
“It can’t just be a normal sex scene. It’s supposed to be about, like, the greatest vampire sex you’ve ever had,” he added.
This isn’t the first time Rob’s expressed anxiety about love scenes.
In “Breaking Dawn -- Part 1,” Edward and Bella enjoy a honeymoon while Stewart’s character is still human. The resulting consummation scene shows a lot of restraint on Edward’s part, and he winds up ruining the marital bed.
“That’s what he should be ashamed of in the morning. All those beautiful pillows! Egyptian cotton! I ruined this bed!” Pattinson has said.
