MOG presents: The next Simon Cowell? It could happen.
Not that we really need to explain, but we’re a news organization, so here we go. When it comes to verbal thrashings, we are dealing with a master. Love has called out Britney Spears’ dad as a slave-driving molester. Love has wished a type of pain upon Dave Grohl that we cannot repeat in this family-friendly blog. And Love has had no problem eviscerating her own daughter in print. If Love were an “Idol” judge, that leviathan of negativity who auditioned earlier this season would have his own label by now. After that Ragnarok of a performance she endured on Grammy night -- standing on the same stage with a painfully off-tune and outmatched Taylor Swift -- we suspect Nicks might need a venue to vent her feelings about todays teenage up-and-comers. (Christopher Polk / Getty Images)
A pioneer in the field of obnoxiousness, Lee enjoys messing with his fans in creative ways. In one memorable incident, he stepped off a red carpet after a high-profile, camera-choked Los Angeles fashion show, was approached by a fan who begged for a photo, and said no. Meanness needs innovation if it is to thrive. Lee can deliver that evil creativity. (Paul Sakuma / Associated Press)

Really, really wants people to look at her. Makes sure people want to look at her. And then orders everyone not to. An employee at a photo studio once told me of a typical Aguilera incident. The singer was expected to visit the studio on some mega-pop-star business. Before she arrived, an order was circulated around the studio that no one was to look out of the windows as Aguilera’s car pulled up. We like that sort of affinity for mental torture in our “AI” judges. (Kirk McKoy / Los Angeles Times)
Not particularly mean people. But, given their propensity for saying everythingtheyre thinking and/or spilling every detail of their sexual encounters, would certainly make for good interviews after each weekly show. (Evan Agostini / Associated Press, left; Jason Szenes / EPA, right)
