Jessica Simpson prepares post-baby body for big reveal

Jessica Simpson is fighting the battle of the post-baby bulge, a process she says is slower than she expected.
Maxwell Drew Johnson arrived May 1 to Simpson and her fiance, Eric Johnson, and the singer has been working double time to care for the little one and get back to her fighting weight in time for a Sept. 10 body reveal on Katie Couric’s new chat show.
Her biggest challenge? Her pregnancy cravings.
“I let myself indulge in everything I wanted because it was the first time I was ever pregnant, and I wanted to enjoy it,” Simpson told USA Today. “I didn’t realize [the weight] didn’t all come off with the baby.”
Luckily the endorsement gods have delivered unto Simpson a spokesmanship for Weight Watchers, whose point system has helped her take off the pounds. She insists the loss isn’t for vanity purposes, but to keep her healthy in chasing after a newborn.
She also finds motivation in the form of her partner, Johnson, who Simpson says lends his “support but not pressure. The fact that he loves me the way I am right now -- we’re set. He knows I want to feel better in my skin.”
In addition to Weight Watchers, Jessica works with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. They execute a daily cardio routine in efforts to reveal a brand new Simpson on Couric’s couch.
“My boobs are way too big to run at this point. I’m just walking,” she said.
Well, clearly not a brand new Simpson.
