Soundgarden at the Wiltern

Rock reunions shouldn’t sound as good as Soundgarden does these days. Since splintering in the ‘90s, the band’s recent reunion shows proved that the curious alchemy between Chris Cornell’s rock deity voice, Matt Cameron’s time-twisting drums and Kim Thayil’s fiery leads remain intact, and that chemistry remains on the shockingly not disappointing album “King Animal.” Odds are the new material as well as favorites such as “My Wave,” “Rusty Cage” and “Hunted Down” will churn with the same menacing grandeur here. The Wiltern, 3790 Wilshire Blvd., L.A. Fri.-Sun. 7 p.m. $59.50-$85. https://www.livenation.com.
