After the “Presidential Debate,” harken ye back to a nobler time, when becoming a nation’s leader was as easy as pulling a sword from a stone, in John Boorman’s 1981 Arthurian fantasy “Excalibur.” (various channels, 6 p.m.; Encore, 10:05 p.m.)
THURSDAY
The TV-centric sitcom “30 Rock” and the Garden State-set reality series “Jersey Shore” begin their respective final seasons. Guess which one we’ll miss once it’s off the air? Here’s a hint: It stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. (NBC, 8 p.m.; MTV, 10 p.m.)
FRIDAY
Tinseltown types like Oliver Stone and Rob Reiner and Beltway insiders like James Carville and Fred Thompson talk about what happens when “Hollywood Goes to Washington” on a new edition of “A Night at the Movies.” (TCM, 5 and 8 p.m.)
SATURDAY
