The sun is getting ready to set on the “Sons.”
“Sons of Anarchy,” FX’s drama about a gang of outlaw bikers, will start its seventh and final season Sept. 9 with an extended episode lasting an hour and 45 minutes.
The season premiere of the series, which is the highest-rated in FX’s history, will be followed by a live post-show, “Anarchy Afterword” which will air also on FX.
Last season, Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) finally secured his leadership of the Sons of Anarchy by killing Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman), his stepfather, for past sins. The season ended with his formidable mother, Gemma (Katey Sagal), brutally slaying Jax’s wife, Tara (Maggie Siff), unbeknownst to Jax.
The new season begins 10 days later with Jax in jail on a parole violation, grappling with the loss of the woman he loved. With the club’s full support, he sets in motion the brutal machinations that will lead to complete and merciless retribution.
