Kanye West seeks execs for a new clothing label on LinkedIn

Rapper and fledgling fashion designer Kanye West is looking for a vice president of production and a chief financial officer for a “clothing project.”

Both positions are posted on LinkedIn.

“The venture will be very high profile and, unlike those in which celebrities merely lend their name to a label, this venture will have the power of Mr. West’s creative genius at the heart and soul of it,” says the posting for VP.

“Mr. West will play a hands-on role in leading design efforts, having studied and worked with design houses such as Fendi, Giuseppe Zanotti, Nike and Louis Vuitton,” it says.

The posting for CFO trumpets “a fascinating and unique opportunity to take ownership of the financial and accounting functions for a brand new clothing line designed by creative genius and celebrity powerhouse, Kanye West.”

There’s no name for the label as yet.

West is among celebrities who are making the rounds at New York Fashion Week, and he has shown a couple of collections in Paris in past seasons (to lukewarm reviews).

His design efforts have drawn less acclaim than his music. And less publicity than the birth of his daughter with Kim Kardashian, North.
