Celebrate LGBT Pride Month with these festive fashion collections

June is officially the start of LGBT Pride Month, celebrated worldwide and started in remembrance of the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York, often considered the beginning of the gay rights movement in the United States.
Following Pride festivities in Long Beach in May, the celebration of the LGBT community continues locally with L.A. Pride (www.lapride.org) this weekend in West Hollywood.
To get you ready to unleash your inner rainbow, here are colorful themed shoes, sunnies, tees, sneakers and a jacket, several of which are available through brand collaborations and limited-edition collections.
Each piece celebrates the LGBT community or icons who helped pave the way for generations of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, including artist Keith Haring (Toms Shoes and the Keith Haring Foundation’s collection) and Harvey Milk (Levi’s x Harvey Milk Foundation’s limited-edition collection), who in 1977 became one of the first openly gay elected public officials in the U.S.
