F.R. Industries’ loss is your gain

The closing of Home Depot’s 34 Expo Design Centers means more than clearance sales on appliances, cabinetry and flooring. The decision has left F.R. Industries of North Hollywood -- an Expo supplier of bed, bath and table linens, plus window treatments and decorative pillows -- holding $1 million in goods, which must be liquidated immediately at 50% to 90% off. The 23-inch square flocked silk pillow shown here, which had been priced at $60 at Expo, will be $20. Discounts on curtains are even more dramatic: An 84-inch embroidered silk panel that is bottom-weighted and lined in cotton will be reduced to $30, from $150. The sale runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 5 and 6, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 7 and 8. 11840 Vose St., North Hollywood; (818) 503-9143.
