Robert Margolis of Rolling Hills snapped this shot on a strikingly clear summer day just outside Fox Glacier, which is on the western coast of New Zealand’s South Island.
Margolis and his wife, Lisa, came across the grazing animal after spending the day exploring the glacier.
“We found it humorous as well as beautiful,” Margolis said of the January photo.
In the background: Mt. Tasman and Mt. Cook.
