The City of Vernon water tower sits along the Los Angeles River. The 45-unit Vernon Villiage Park Apartments complex that is nearing completion is the first privately-owned residence the city will have in decades.

The L.A. River runs along the side of the city of Vernon. The $16 million Vernon Village Park Apartments complex, developed by Meta Housing Corp., which has experience creating affordable housing, sits along the river, a short walk from the 710 freeway.
