Housing for homeless veterans: A headline on an article in the Sept. 28 LATExtra section about a program to provide permanent supportive housing to homeless veterans said the cost of the North Hills project was $480 million. As the story stated, the cost was $48 million.
Climate change: An article in the Sept. 28 Section A about a warning issued by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said scientists predict that a global warming threshold will be reached after 1 trillion tons of carbon dioxide are emitted into the atmosphere. It should have said 1 trillion metric tons of carbon.
“Homeland”: A review of the season premiere of “Homeland” in the Sept. 28 Calendar section said the character Carrie Mathison told her father that she was using a variety of methods to take care of herself, including “mediation.” The word she used was “meditation.”
Music on late-night TV: An article in the Sept. 25 Calendar section about music on late-night TV shows such as “Jimmy Kimmel Live” identified Joel Amsterdam as Concord Music Group’s senior vice president of marketing. He is the senior vice president of publicity.
