Earthquake: 3.2 quake occurs near Morongo Valley

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Saturday afternoon three miles from Morongo Valley, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 2:02 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 6.8 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was nine miles from Desert Hot Springs, 13 miles from Yucca Valley and 14 miles from Banning.
In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
