The Los Angeles Fire Department is battling a brush fire in Pacoima, officials said Wednesday.
The fire broke out in a wooded area at 12100 Osborne Street near the Hansen Dam.
Officials initially said they were having trouble accessing the fire because of dense brush in the area. But they now say firefighters are getting the upper hand and that about eight acres have burned.
The LAFD said no structures were immediately threatened.
