A man who led police on a rooftop chase in Cypress Park was captured and arrested early Tuesday.
Police had arrived at Nick Anguiano’s residence in the 3500 block of Arroyo Seco Avenue because he was wanted in connection with an assault with a deadly weapon, according to authorities.
Instead of surrendering, Anguiano, 25, bolted from officers and took to the roof. From there, he began jumping from rooftop to rooftop.
The chase, which began around 1:40 a.m., lasted about 45 minutes, according to Lt. Ryan Schatz of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Northeast Division.
“We set up a perimeter around the area where he lived and in the direction he seemed to be running in,” Schatz said. “No one was injured.”
The suspect also had a warrant out for his arrest for violating parole. He has been booked, but no bail has been set due to the violation.
