Shooting in Palmdale leaves man dead, woman injured

A man was killed and a woman was injured in an early-morning shooting Sunday in Palmdale, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 12:20 a.m. in the 1600 block of East Avenue Q-6, according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The female victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
No arrests have been made and no other details were immediately available about the incident.
