Reporting from San Diego — A 27-year-old man died in an early-morning fall from San Diego’s Sunset Cliffs near Point Loma Nazarene University, officials said Tuesday.
The man was among four people midway down the cliffs around 4 a.m. when he fell about 40 feet.
Firefighters located the man and attempted CPR, but were unsuccessful in reviving him. The county medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
Signs warn people to stay away from the cliffs.
“The cliffs are very unstable,” said San Diego Fire Battalion Chief John Fisher.
