Police searching for Boyle Heights rapist

Police are searching for a man armed with a machete who broke into a woman’s Boyle Heights home and raped her.
The attack occurred about 12:30 a.m. Friday after the suspect forced open a window at the house in the 1900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, according to Los Angeles police.
The suspect removed most of his clothing, then entered the victim’s bedroom and assaulted her, police said. The suspect then dressed himself and fled the scene.
The suspect was described as a Latino man, approximately 35 years of age, with brown wavy hair and possibly brown or hazel eyes. He is believed to be about 5 foot 4 inches, approximately 150 pounds, with a noticeable scar on his upper lip. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black tennis shoes and a brown baseball cap.
