Pregnant Glendale teen, missing since Friday, is located

A missing 16-year-old Glendale girl who is 7 1/2 months pregnant has been found at a family member’s home after she disappeared with her two sisters on Friday, police said.

Joyce Lubrin, described by officials as a chronic runaway and mentally disabled, was found safe and healthy on Monday, according to Glendale police. The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services placed her with an aunt, police said.

Her sisters -- Kealani Lubrin, 15, and Ashley Lubrin, 13 -- were found late Saturday after the mother of a friend of the girls saw a TV report about police searching for them and called authorities. The two sisters were missing for at least 30 hours, the Glendale News-Press reported.

The three sisters didn’t have cellphones or money with them when they went missing, police said. They are thought to have been hanging out at a mall, then walking around Glendale until going to a friend’s house.

Investigators talked to the girls’ friends and family members throughout Los Angeles County during their search.
