At least some passengers appeared to get out safely from a Boeing 777 operated by Asiana Airlines that crashed while landing at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday.
Photos taken by a passenger on the plane shows people on the runway with smoke coming from the aircraft. Witnesses told KTVU-TV that the tail broke off on landing.
Video showed black smoke coming from a plane in pieces on the ground and fire officials were on the scene.
It was unclear how many people were on board.
