A pastor, his wife and another man suffered non-life-threatening injuries early Wednesday in what authorities say was a gang-related shooting in Long Beach.
The three, whose names and ages were not released, were standing outside of a home in the area of DeForest Avenue and 59th Street just after midnight when they were suddenly “fired on,” said Long Beach Police Sgt. Megan Zabel.
They sustained what police described as non-life-threatening injuries and were listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
KTLA reported that the Lakewood Christian church pastor and his wife were house-sitting for another pastor and had attended a bingo event that ran late.
No arrests have been made in the shooting, Zabel said.
She added that investigators were “not ready” to release information about the suspects at this time.
