A 20-year-old woman accused of looting the tip jars at a café, pizzeria and other Beverly Hills establishments denied the charges Tuesday.
Beverly Hills resident Jessica Shub pleaded not guilty to five misdemeanor counts of petty theft and one count of attempted petty theft, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
In the last three months, Shub plundered the tip jars at five Beverly Hills businesses, according to the criminal complaint.
Shub was arrested Thursday after a witness spotted her stealing from the Brighton Coffee Shop’s tip jar, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.
A witness trailed Shub as she fled, and police nabbed her half a block from the cafe.
She’s being held at the Lynwood detention center, with bail set at $20,000, according to jail records.
If convicted on all counts, Shub faces a maximum of 33 months in County Jail.
