Firefighters responding to reports of someone injured in front of a Simi Valley home Tuesday instead found two bodies lying in the front yard, officials said.
Ventura County firefighters made the discovery while responding to a call about a person who fell and appeared injured in the 3300 block of Billie Court. Instead, firefighters found the bodies of an adult man and woman, according to Simi Valley Police Cmdr. Stephanie Shannon.
Details about the condition of the bodies or any wounds the pair may have had were not immediately released, nor were their identities.
Shannon declined to say if anyone was inside the house when homicide detectives arrived on the scene. She described the area as a neighborhood with medium-sized homes.
“Their relationship is unknown at this time, if they resided at the residence and what led up to the interaction between these two,” Shannon said.
Anyone with information should call the Simi Valley Police detective unit at (805) 583-6969.
