Two people were killed and three were injured Sunday afternoon in a crash involving four vehicles in Dana Point, authorities said.
The injured were transported to Mission Regional Trauma Center, said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi. Another person suffered mild injuries and declined to be taken to hospital.
The collision occurred around 1:22 p.m. along Coast Highway between Beach Road and Camino Capistrano, Concialdi said. The two people killed were in the same vehicle and were dead when paramedics arrived, Concialdi said.
He said the Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the collision.
