Two tree trimmers killed when crane catches fire in Thermal

Two tree trimmers were killed Saturday in Thermal when the crane they were using touched power lines and caught fire, authorities said.
The crane, which was leaking oil, became engulfed in flames about 11 a.m. after coming into contact with the lines, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The trimmers were working in the 68600 block of Harrison Street.
The two people, who were not immediately identified, were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
