Celebration planned for L.A. activist Jerry Decter

A celebration of the life of Jerry Decter, a longtime Los Angeles community activist, will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the amphitheater below Doheny Ranch at Franklin Canyon Park, 2600 Franklin Canyon Drive, Beverly Hills. Decter, 85, died June 24.
No formal ceremony will be held, but guests are invited to bring a picnic lunch. Carpooling is encouraged.
