Letters: Blockbuster nostalgia

Re “End of Blockbuster near,” Business, Nov. 7
When I rented VHS movies from Blockbuster, the cartridges carried funny reminders telling customers to rewind their tapes.
They included: “To play is human. To rewind is divine!,” “Be a friend. Rewind when you reach the end,” and “Just to remind, please rewind. Thanks. The end.”
Blockbuster had been struggling in the DVD and video-game rental business thanks to the growth of Redbox and Internet-streaming services such as Netflix and YouTube.
But we’ll remember the big yellow-and-blue stores famous for their movie-ticket logo.
R.I.P., Blockbuster.
