Readers React: Dear Chargers: Good riddance. Love, San Diego

To the editor: I could hardly believe my eyes when I opened my paper Friday morning and read that the San Diego Chargers and the Oakland Raiders may have finally found a city where they can pull their old tricks to build themselves a new stadium. (“Chargers, Raiders will jointly pursue an NFL stadium in Carson,” Feb. 20)
The Chargers and Raiders — extremely wealthy franchises that employ players who make millions — are too cheap to build their own respective stadiums in their current cities without taxpayers’ help.
To the Chargers, I say so long. I have a few boxes in my garage that I can drop off at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego for you to use in your move up north.
Goodbye to the biggest bunch of cheapskates in California.
