The city began construction of the fiscal year 2004-05 street

rehabilitation project last month. The project is part of the city’s

ongoing capital improvement program.

On Wednesday the following streets are scheduled to be closed from

8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for asphalt resurfacing:

* Ashton Drive (upper);

* Rounsevel Terrace (north half); and

* Alexander Road.

Hinkle Place will also be paved, and partially closed, but one

lane will remain open at all times.

The project is scheduled for completion by the end of July. The

construction contractor is All American Asphalt.
