The Chicago Cubs have played in the World Series ten times, starting in 1906 and ending in 1945 — until now.
Legendary baseball player Babe Ruth, of the New York Yankees, hits a home run in the third game of the World Series against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Oct. 1, 1932. It was during this game that Ruth gestured with his bat before hitting a home run giving birth to the legend of the ‘Called Shot.’
