St. John Bosco to play Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas on national TV

Bellflower St. John Bosco (3-0) at Las Vegas Bishop Gorman (5-0), 6 p.m. (ESPN): A national television audience will get to see two of the best football teams in the nation. St. John Bosco relies on UCLA-bound quarterback Josh Rosen and junior running back Sean McGrew. Bishop Gorman has received a boost from sophomore standouts Tate Martell at quarterback and Tyjon Lindsey at receiver. St. John Bosco’s defense gets tested for the first time against a team with multiple weapons and a quarterback who runs the option well. Expect lots of points to be scored. The pick: St. John Bosco.

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (3-0) at Gardena Serra (3-1), 7:30 p.m.: Junior quarterback Cole Klayman has been a pleasant surprise for the Knights, limiting his mistakes and making sure he gets the ball to receiver CJ Sanders and running back Leo Lambert III. Serra keeps trying to get its offense in high gear. Running back Malik Roberson and receiver Deontay Burnett need to have breakout games. This game will be decided by turnovers.
